ΣΦΕ (Sigma Phi Epsilon), ordinarily nicknamed SigEp, is the largest social fraternity for college students, by number of undergrad members, in the United States as of 2005. It was founded inside 1901 at Richmond College, now a University of Richmond, and its national headquarters remains around Richmond, Virginia. These are founded in trey lesson: virtue, diligence, & brotherly love.

When a many fraternity scandals of a Eighties, the national organization inside 1992 began promoting the 'Balanced Human' program, which abolished pledgeship, instituted month-year-around enlisting, & advocated dry housing & lifestyles for its membership. the program has been adopted by above 75% of Sigma Phi Epsilin chapters, & these are credited by having a on-going profits of the fraternity on a national level.

Along sustaining this, Sigma Phi Epsilon too promotes a Residential Learning Community Program. Under this program, for each one fraternity adopts the resident scholar & the faculty fellow. a resident scholar occurs as grad student (nin necessarily a member of SigEp) world health organization sleep in the fraternity & advises the undergrad chapter on operations, chance management, faculty member, & community involvement/philanthropy activities. A faculty fellow occurs as member of a college or even university faculty world health organization advises the undergrad chapter, holds professional hours in the home, & gives occasional lectures.
